Boiler equipment
A wide variety of boiler equipment is listed on the ETL including hot water boilers, biomass boilers, steam boilers and gas-fired condensing water heaters.
Boiler retrofit equipment
A wide variety of boiler retrofit equipment is listed on the ETL including burners with controls, condensing economisers, heat recovery from flash steam and boiler blowdown condensate, non-condensing economisers and retrofit burner control systems.
Combined heat and power (CHP)
CHP is the simultaneous generation of heat and power. CHP schemes are bespoke by their nature. Although individual products are not listed on the ETL, the scheme does cover CHP equipment.
Compressed air equipment
Compressed air equipment on the ETL includes master controllers, refrigerated air dryers with energy saving controls, and desiccant air dryers with energy saving controls.
Energy monitoring
Equipment includes automatic monitoring & targeting (aM&T) sub-metering systems, portable energy monitoring equipment and building energy management systems.
Energy storage
The energy storage category on the ETL includes battery and thermal energy storage for commercial and industrial applications.
Hand dryers
Two types of electric hands dryers are covered: high speed warm air dryers and high speed ambient air dryers. Conventional warm air dryers are not covered.
Heat pumps
A variety of heat pumps are eligible for the ETL, including air source heat pumps, water source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps and heat pump driven air curtains.
Heat recovery ventilation units
This category features plate heat exchangers and rotating heat exchangers.
Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment
Equipment such as HVAC building controls, active chilled beams, close control air conditioning and evaporative air coolers are eligible for the ETL.
Lighting
This includes white LED lighting modules for backlit illuminated signs, efficient white lighting units and building lighting controls.
Motors, drives & fans
Motors and drives available on the ETL are line operated AC motors, variable speed drives, commercial fans and converter-fed motors.
Pipework, tank & vessel insulation
Pipework, tank & vessel insulation reduces the flow of heat in and out of pipes, tanks or vessels.
Professional foodservice equipment (PFSE)
This category includes combination steam ovens, convection ovens, undercounter dishwashers and hood-type dishwashers.
Radiant and warm air heaters
Warm air heating, designed to provide space heating, and radiant heating, designed to heat people or objects, are both listed on the ETL.
Refrigeration equipment
A variety of products in both industrial and commercial refrigeration categories are listed on the ETL.
Showers
Non-domestic showers listed on the ETL include shower valves, shower heads, electric showers and shower systems.
Solar thermal collectors
Solar thermal collectors are products that are specifically designed to capture solar energy and convert it, with a broader solar system, to useful heat for water or space heating applications.
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
UPS products on the ETL include: static UPS and rotary UPS.
Waste heat to electricity conversion equipment
Processes that use energy and produce heat as a byproduct can utilise this to convert into energy. Products eligible for the ETL include organic rankine cycle (ORC) heat recovery equipment, screw expanders, and non-condensing or back pressure turbines.
Wastewater heat recovery systems
This category covers technology designed to use residual heat from drained wastewater via an instantaneous heat exchange to pre-heat incoming mains water.
